    FACTION WORLDS

Faction Worlds are private, and belong to the members of the faction for which they are named. They are free and awarded on a first come first serve basis to qualifying factions. The number of faction Worlds offered is dependent upon server activity and population, and at the discretion of Zortan. Please observe the following rules regarding faction Worlds:
    • Faction Worlds are maintained only so long as the faction is present and active on the server. Should a faction leave the server, or become inactive, their world will be designated as "claimable." If a faction wants to claim the existing world, they will send a declaration to Zortan or his minion Hitliz and set up a defense on the moon designated for the challange. Please refer to the "WE WANT A FACTION WORLD..." section below.
    • Faction Worlds are THE FACTIONS' responsibility. If you abuse the world and strip it of its resources and POI's without conservation, your only recourse will be a wipe of the playfield to restore it. If it must be wiped, you will be given a 24-hour evacuation period with which to collect your ships, auto miners and materials. We will not replace any bases lost nor materials left behind.
    • Multiple cores, ship, base, defense etc, bunched together can cause lag and playfield glitches. Filling up a playfield to its maximum core capabilities can as well. It is our recommendation that you spread out on your world to avoid this, and make use of the orbit around your world to store your large vessels. It is wise to limit your ships and structures to only what is needed.
    • Privacy of the faction Worlds is sacrosanct. No non-faction member may visit the world, it's orbit or moon, without prior, verifiable permission from the faction. Any player found on a faction world without permission is subject to being perma-banned.
    • Players invited to a faction world, are subject to the rules and policies of that faction.
    Non-faction Residents

A new practice was introduced to the server, Factions allowing non-faction players to reside on their faction world. This is something that we caution factions about doing but will add some guidelines here.
    • Factions: Any damage done to your world, any mats lost, etc., due to a non-faction resident will be the faction’s responsibility, we will not replace these items. You should be diligent and vet (buzz word!) your guests well, so that you do not incur losses. You should make sure they know and agree to the factions rules, and should be admonished that their residence on one faction world does not give them license to visit other faction worlds without that permission.
    • Faction Guests: You should conduct yourself according to the rules and policies of the faction world you have been given residence on, and the server rules. The MOST IMPORTANT RULE YOU MUST OBSERVE IS... “Privacy of the faction Worlds is sacrosanct. No non-faction member may visit the world, it's orbit or moon, without prior, verifiable permission from the faction. Any player found on a faction world without permission is subject to being perma-banned.” It will be YOUR responsibility to know this rule, you cannot blame your faction world host for not telling you. DO NOT enter any faction world, even it's orbit, without that factions prior, verifiable permission!
Below is the information to obtain a Faction World

WE WANT A FACTION WORLD, WHAT DO WE DO?

There are two ways to acquire a faction world.

    1. Newly added Worlds

The decision to add Faction worlds to the server is based on player/faction population and participation. When those conditions dictate and we are going to add new faction planets it will be in the following manner: A new PvP moon will appear on the map, it will be in an "Abandoned Faction Orbit." Your faction may go there and establish a base and defend it. Defending it means either the destruction or re-coring of any and all other faction structures on the planet if any and at least one structure belonging to your faction being active on the planet for the duration of the siege. We will check this with the game file structure logs. When you have successfully held the planet for 48 hours then, your faction will be declared the winners. The faction leader or the member of your choice will be declared the owner and then the devs will contact you, get your preference for your world and then place the new PvE faction system in the map.

    Minimum Requirements:

    · You must have at least 5 active members in your faction

    · You and your members must be actively playing* on the server

    · You must have been actively playing* on our server for at least 2 weeks

    · You must be registered on the EAG Forums and read the general rules of the community, and the Empyrion server rules, especially the faction planet section, and acknowledge you have done so.

So once you have defended that planet for 48 hours and been declared the planet owners, at that time you can request what type of planet you would like. You may choose Temperate, Icy/Snow, dessert/barren, or alien. You will need to speak to the devs, Locutus or Vashlin, for clarity. These worlds will contain the normal ore deposits and resources available on the corresponding types of worlds their templates are based on, with exception of rare and ultra-rares.

    2. Obtaining a Faction World Through Conquest

Be advised, this is a more dangerous and even less certain route to take, but from time to time, based on participation and population on the server, there may appear in the universe, random worlds designated as "Contested." They will be PvP, and may be taken over by factions who are active on our server. We are relaxing the required numbers for this venue of getting a faction world. As with claiming a newly added faction world, your faction may go there and establish a base and defend it. The planet will remain PvP and will be the collective property of your faction. How you choose to administrate it will be up to you, so establish your governance well, as you will constantly need to defend them; that will require team work. We do not suggest you try to take these worlds without at least five active members as it will be more difficult to both conquer and hold these PvP worlds.
If you have any other questions regarding faction worlds, please put in a support request or contact me on our forums.

    Thank you,

    Hitliz
